Description

This is a Sole Source 8A set-aside to Install Fall Protection building 4312, 4314, 4315 and 5110 at Dyess AFB, Texas. The project will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract. The procurement will be restricted to Small Disadvantaged Business. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code) is 238990 and the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC Code) is 1799. Work may include but is not necessarily limited to : Project calls for the installation of a monorail personal fall protection system at buildings 5110 (Three bays hangar) and 4315 (Nose Dock) Dyess AFB, Texas. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Install reinforcing plates at existing roof beams (Bldg 5110 only); 2) Remove/Re-install existing bird netting (Bldg 4315 only); 3) Install monorail beams, supporting elements and connections to existing structure; 4) Paint all new steel structure and existing structure damaged during construction; 5) Install trolleys, carabiners and self-retracting lifelines. Project calls for the installation of a monorail personal fall protection system at buildings 4314 (Two bays hangar) and 4312 (Nose dock) Dyess AFB, Texas. The work includes but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Remove/Re-install existing bird netting as required for installing supporting elements and connections to existing roof structure; 2) Install monorail beams, supporting elements and connections to existing structure; 3) Paint all new steel structure and existing structure damaged during construction; 4) Install carabiners and self-retracting lifelines. It is anticipated the contract will be awarded on or about 1 Aug 2005 on FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov.
