Description

NOTICE OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION (NOPCA).The Manufacturing Engineering Work Group intends to award on a sole source basis a FFP service contract to rebuild an A. B. Farquhar Company Vertical Single Action 1000 Ton Press Model 35031D at Watervliet A rsenal, Watervliet, NY 12189. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one responsible source IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. A determination by the Governme nt not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Technical data will be included in the solicitation to be issued on or about 28 June 2005. Offers will be due on 25 July 2005. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contract Specialist within fifteen (15) days of this publication. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are a large, small, small-dis ad vantaged, 8(a), or women owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned.
