Description

The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado State Office, is soliciting for offers for the following project: The San Juan Resource Area portion of the San Juan Public Lands Office requires a landscape-scale (Class I) cultural resources overview. The Bureau of Land Management Manual 8110 defines a Class I regional overview as "a professionally prepared study that includes (1) a compilation and analysis of all reasonably available cultural resource data and literature, and (2) a management-focused interpretive, narrative overview and synthesis of the data. The overview also defines regional research questiions and treatment options. The informatiion contained in the overview will be used to provide information to use in the development of the revised resource management plan, and envronmental impact statement for the San Juan Resource Area lands administered by the San Juan Public Lands Office, BLM.The landscape-scale analysis will cover all BLM lands wthin the boundaries of the San Juan Public Lands Office. The plan revision will amend the management of approximately 680,100 acres of Federally (BLM) managed land managed by the San Juan Public Lands Office within Montrose, San Miguel, Dolores, Montezuma, LaPlata, San Juan and Archuleta Counties of Colorado. The successful contractor shall have a current BLM Cultural Resource Use Permit to conduct work in the San Juan Field Office. The solicitation will be available via this website on or about July 5, 2005. Offers will be accepted no later than August 5, 2005 and must be sent to the BLM, EFO, 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO,81506. Local contact is Michele Derfler, Contracting Officer, (970)244-3175. This requirement is estimated to fall below $100,000.00. This requirement is a total small business set-aside.
