- This is a Market Research, Sources Sought synopsis to help the National Institute of Standards and Technology?s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP) identify potential firms capable of providing project and program support for its Program Development Office. The focus of this support will be to provide assistance to NIST MEP in the performance of its mission, which is to provide standard methods, products, services and techniques, and products for world class consulting solutions that bring America?s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to the most productive, profitable, and competitive position in the world. The Government anticipates that capable firms will have broad experience in manufacturing extension, manufacturing trends and issues, customer needs, customer satisfaction, product success, and technology deployment. Firms should have expertise and successful past experience and performance in areas including but not limited to the following: (a) Research on technologies, techniques, strategies and business practices relevant to small and medium-sized manufacturing businesses, such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), IT Security, Lean Manufacturing, ISO9000 and others (b) Developing courses, materials, software assessment tools, printed and web-based information (c) Providing training and information to a diverse and geographically widespread audience using web conferencing and teleconferencing. (d) Developing, posting, managing and updating web page content. (e) Delivering workshops, training, seminars (f) Conducting market assessments and analyses relative to particular technologies, economic factors, industry or sector studies, market knowledge of existing, new or evolving technologies (g) Conducting market development for MEP products and services and providing project management (h) Conducting program management support, scheduling and oversight of assigned projects We are not seeking general business consulting. Interested parties shall provide the Government with information as follows: (1) Name of Company-include a contact person?s name, telephone number and email address; (2) Company Address; (3) Company Size (please specify as either-Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, Woman Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), Hubzone Small Business) or other and indicate whether a large business or small business under NAICS 541611. ; (4) Identify whether you are interested in this acquisition as a prime contractor or a subcontractor; (5) Address whether the services identified in the requirement described above are of a type offered and sold competitively in the commercial marketplace based on market prices or whether these services are exclusively provided to the Government; (6) If commercially available, identify standard commercial terms and conditions typically associated with these services; (7) Describe experience and past performance with similar types of requirements of similar scope and magnitude and whether they were performed performance-based and include the contract number, Government agency name and address and contract funded amount; (8) Identify existing or potential pricing structure for scientific & technical labor categories in support of this type of work (9) Identify qualifications of technical and management personnel. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.
