DESCRIPTION: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (HUBZONE 8(A), HUBZONE, SMALL, SMALL DISADVANTAGED AND LARGE BUSINESS) RELATIVE TO NAICS CODE 622110 (GENERAL MEDICAL AND SURGICAL HOSPITALS). RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISTION DECISIONS-SEE SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS BELOW. AFTER REVIEW OF THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE BOS. RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO THE FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THE SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT IN ADDITION TO RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System of Little Rock, Arkansas is soliciting inquiries from interested parties to provide Cardiothoracic Surgery to eligible Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System Veterans. A solicitation package is under development that will require a Contractor to provide facility, staff, equipment and all supplies necessary. Services include pre-operative evaluation, surgical procedure and post operative care. Payment will be based on discounted Medicare CPT/DRG allowable, but will not exceed Medicare allowable for Part A and B. Services will be performed in compliance with JCAHO requirements. The term of the agreement will be for a base period from February 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006 with four(4) renewable 12 month option periods totaling 56 months. Solicitation package is not available at this time. All interested parties should submit on company letterhead an indication of the extent of interest and include a completed Standard Form SF-129 (see Document Distribution of this announcement) to the following address: Michael D.
