Description

This solicitation will be issued on or about July 8, 2005 with responses due on August 8, 2005. The VAMC Lebanon intends to award a contract for "CONSOLIDATE ICU/UC. This project is a 100% set-aside as an 8(a) competitive procurement. Work shall include provision of all labor, materials and any other items necessary to construct a new approximately 14,000 SF addition attached to Building 1 to house a new Intensive Care Unit and a new Urgent Care Area. All work will be at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, PA. Work will include but not be limited to demolition of the existing area at the building tie in, architectural work including constructing a new building, piping work including medical gases and sprinkler work, mechanical work including new HVAC Systems, electrical work including all branch circuits and new service, fire alarm and nurse call work. Installation of government supplied medical equipment and certain other items will also be included. All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable codes and VA regulations. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. NAICS Code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. Estimated construction cost is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on July 26, 2005 at 1:00PM in Bldg18, Rm148 at the Lebanon VA.
