- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to PETREX Inc., 10640 Min St. Ste., Fairfax, VA 22030-3930 for the following: Furnish Material, parts and labor to perform the repair of JP-8 Operating Tank- Pan Seal on Facilities 5300 and 5302. At tanks one and two: PETREX wiper seal materials, PETREX installation labor, equipment, and supervision. At tanks three and four: PETREX wiper seal materials, and PETREX installation labor, equipment, and supervision for the 509th Civil Engineering Squadron, 660 10th Street, Suite 211, Whiteman AFB, MO 65305. This manufacturer?s equipment is the only known item that will fill the government?s need. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 for Other Than Full & Open Competition. This notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
