Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Army Tank Automotive and Armament Command located in Rock Island, Illinois intends to award a sole source purchase order to RACOM Corporation, 201 W. State St, Marshalltown, IA, for renewal of monthly rental and on-call maintenance of the following equipment: EDACS trunked radio system and 136 radios at Rock Island Arsenal. On-call maintenance shall be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Response time after notification to the contractor that a service call is required is a maximum of 20 minutes. Other interested firms able to meet these requirements are invited to submit a response within 7 working days after appearance of this notice, but only in writing with clear and convincing documentation, to TACOM-RI, 1 Rock Island Arsenal, ATTN: AMSTA-AQ-ARI-B/Pat Cahill, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630 or by e-mail to Pat.cahill@us.army.mil. Responses must include at a minimum on-call maintenance and technical information sufficient to enable the Government to determine if a vendor can meet th e Government needs. No contract award will be made on the basis of offers/proposals received in response to this notice. If no affirmative responses are received clearly demonstrating a vendors ability to meet the Governments needs within 7 working days after publication of this notice a sole source purchase order shall be issued to RACOM Corporation. All contractors who provide goods and services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to be awarded DOD contrac ts.
