Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to University of Colorado, Boulder, CO. The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City, NV, has a requirement for the following: Task 1. Investigate Direct Output from RiverWare? to Excel University of Colorado for Advanced Decision Support for Water and Environmental Systems (CADSWES) shall research and design a new RiverWare? utility to configure RiverWare? data and write it directly to Excel files. The output utility shall be available in both the RiverWare? Output Manager and the Multiple Run Management (MRM) interface. The MRM utility shall allow the user to configure data to be written to GPAT. Deliverable: High Level Design and Cost Estimate for Implementation. Task 2. Build Infrastructure for Direct Output to the Hydrologic Database (HDB) This task will result in an enhanced Data Management Interface (DMI) structure that can accept a user-specified mapping of RiverWare? slots specified records in an external database such as HDB. The specific HDB output ?device? will be developed in Task 3. Deliverable: Enhanced DMI Structure. Task 3. Design and Develop in RiverWare? a Prototype Direct Connection to HDB. This enhancement will provide a DMI interface in RiverWare? that permits mapping of slots in RiverWare? to specific records in HDB. It is understood that the prototype may not be fully functional to meet all database communication needs. Deliverable: Prototype Direct Connection that Successfully Exchanges Data with HDB. CADSWES developed, enhances, and maintains these packages for the users and is therefore, the only entity able to provide these services. The licensing, maintenance, and development rights and relationships of both RiverWare? and the HDB preclude other sources of supply from competing or offering to provide user support, software maintenance, and documentation. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is on or about July 6, 2005. Any questions please contact Carmen Bernhardt at (702) 293-8601 or e-mail cbernhardt@lc.usbr.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541511, the size standard is $12,000,000.00.
