Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, WHSC Woods Hole, MA intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Sequoia, Scientific, Inc., Bellevue, WA to purchase a LISST-ST Sediment Settling Velocity Sensor and Data Logger for the purpose of incorporating sediment transport into coastal circulation and dynamics models developed by and operated by the USGS and its cooperators. The Sediment Transport Group maintains a pool of instrumentation to make field measurement to ground truth these models. Sequoia Scientific, Inc. is the only known manufacturer of submersible data logging equipment and sensor systems that meet the USGS unique and essential qualifications. There is no written solicitiation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about June 30, 2005 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541710. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published. See note 1.
