- Description
- AMENDMENT 0003 - The purpose of Amendment 0003 is to change the solicitation from sole source to full and open competition, extend the proposal due date and further clarify the combined synopsis. The following changes are incorporated in Amendment 0 003: (1) This solicitation is amended to reflect full and open competition vice sole source. (2) The proposal due date is extended to Wednesday, 29 June 2005 at 6:00 PM EST (4:00 PM Local). (3) The following responses to questions regarding the combined synopsis are provided: Q: Should the fans and VFDs be rated as specified (expecting a later change order)? Or should the spec be amended to reflect the properly sized blower and VFD set? A. The static pressure rating for the fan is inadequate for proper system operation, therefore the fan specification should be ammended to read 2000 CFM @ 6 Inch SP. Q: Can the Offeror assume that CWA are limited those that are readily adsorbed by non-impregnated activated carbon? And is the qualification for the adsorber still per IEST-RP-CC-008 (i.e. 3-log reduction against a Freon challenge)? A. The CWA encountered within this system is readily adsorbed by non-impregnated activated carbon. The qualification for the adsorber is IEST-RP-CC-008, three-log reduction against Freon challenge. Q: Should the fans and VFDs be rated as specified (expecting a later change order)? Or should the spec be amended to reflect the properly sized blower and VFD set? A. Amended to 2000 CFM @ 6 Inch static pressure. Q. If the operating voltage is 208 then why is the control transformer 460:120? A. The 460 volt reference is a typo, there is no requirement for 460 VAC service. Power supplied to the filter blower will be 208 VAC 3 phase, with control power step-down methods at the discretion of the vendor.
