- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Homeland Security intends to purchase utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13 and policies in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items a RF Amplifier. The amplifier will be used for testing of signal FM measurements in an operational environment. Testing is required to calibrate equipment and certify that performance of the signal-processing algorithm is compliant with the National Standard. The National Standard Calibration requirements mandate the ability to faithfully reproduce and measure the set of FASS test pulsed signals that may have instantaneous bandwidths up to 100 MHz at any frequency between 1 GHz and 18 GHz. AMPLIFIER REQUIREMENTS: 1) A COTS product with integrated power supply and type-N RF connectors. 2) Full protection of the amplifier for any input or output load mismatch condition. 3) Air cooled with integral fan and over-temperature protection. 4) Operation on 120/240 VAC, 50/60 HZ single phase line power. 5) Frequency Coverage: 1 GHz to 18 GHz, continuous. 6) Minimum Power Output: 5 watts to permit free-space radiated signal testing. 7) Minimum signal distortion for FASS testing. (The following specifications are based on the Hardware Subcommittee SEI-TWG recommendations). 8) Amplitude ripple over full bandwidth at full output power: Less than 1 dB. 9) Undistorted Instantaneous Bandwidth: Greater than 100 MHz at any selected frequency between 1 GHz and 18 GHz. 10) Differential Group Delay: Less than 2ns in an 80 MHz bandwidth about any selected center frequency over the frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz. Any equipment quoted MUST be accompanied by Descriptive Literature, Equipment Brochures, and Technical/Specification Data. This is 100% SET-ASIDE, Small, Women-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, Small Disadvantaged Veteran-Owned etc. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334515, and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees.
