Description
The U. S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set-aside an acquisition for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) concerns only, or Small Business Set-aside. The estimated magnitude of this purchase is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 233120 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The acquisition is to purchase an Industrial Hydraulic Crane. The Hydraulic Crane shall be all-terrain, and capable of lifting the specified maximum load and transport it safely approximately 400 feet over a paved area. Routine maintenance and emergency repair shall be available within a reasonable distance and time from the point of use. The hydraulic crane shall be delivered to the Coast Guard facility located at 632 Coast Guard Drive, Cheboygan, MI, 49721-1299. Provide one week of on-site training for Coast Guard personnel within 30 days after delivery. Training sessions shall be video taped. Deliver 3 sets (DVDs) of training sessions to the user. B: The hydraulic crane shall be equipped with the following features as a minimum: 1. Outriggers (front and rear): Controls to be located within the cab. Beams to be operated in pairs. 2. Cab: Crane cab shall be enclosed and equipped with heater/defroster and door. 3. Load Indicator: it must sense the load and relay data to a display panel in the cab. It shall assist the operator in the safe operation of the crane and warn when the load capacity is exceeded. 4. Lights and back-up alarm. C: Load Capacity: The hydraulic crane shall be able to pick & carry at a speed of 2.5 MPH, a load of 18,000 pounds minimum, with load positioned straight over front and boom at zero degrees. D: Maximum dimensions: Length: 34 feet (including boom at rest), maximum Height: 11 feet, maximum Width: 8 feet, maximum Boom Extension: 40 feet, minimum In accordance with FAR 19.1305, and 19.502 Small Business Set-askide, if your firm is HUBZone certified and/or a Small Business and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by e-mail or facsimile to Mrs. Cathy Broussard at cbroussard@fdcclant.uscg.mil or (757) 852-3495 (fax).
