Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Cytology Department, Minneapolis, Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the VAMC, has a requirement for fluid based thin-layer methodology cytology kits and supplies. The VAMC Minneapolis uses a fluid based, direct-to-vial method for thin layer gynecological Papanicolaou (PAP) testing. All kits, solutions and supplies provided must be FDA approved as a liquid-based cell-collection method and must be certified and approved for use with VA owned equipment, Cytyc Thin Prep-2000 Automated Specimen Prep System. The Thin Prep-2000 is manufactured by Cytyc Corporation, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA. This will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Requirements contract. The contract period will consist of a Base Year plus four 12-month Options. Total contract period will not exceed 5 years.
