Description
On 6/27/2005 this sources sought is being amended to reflect a combined synopsis/solicitation award to the following: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for emergency commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information contained in this notice. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. FAR Part 35 also applies as this requirement is for a Research Study. The New Mexico Veterans Administration Health Care System (NMVAHCS), 1501 San Pedro Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, is awarding sole source delivery order to Pharmascience, Inc. to provide Sulfasalazine Enteric Coated Tablets 500 mg with matching placebo in support of a Cooperative Studies Program blinded Research Trial for the VA Cooperative Studies Program, 2401 Centre Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106-4180. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation as a Request for Proposal (RFP). A written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The RFP 501-0047-05 number should be referenced on all proposals. The VA intends a sole source request to award a Firm Fixed Price Definite Quantity Delivery Requirements Order to Pharmascience, Inc. for Sulfasalazine Enteric Coated tablets 500 mg with matching placebo. The Cooperative Studies Program requires Pharmascience, Inc. to deliver the requirements in accordance with all terms, conditions and provisions of this combined synopsis/solicitation for a two year period. It is critical to comply with the delivery dates stated herein. The issue date of this combine synopsis/solicitation will be June 27, 2005. There will be three (3) line items for this request. Description: Sulfasalazine enteric coated tablets ? 500 mg with no markings or brandings with a matching placebo which must be identical to the active product. The estimated requirement is for approximately 500,000 Sulfasalazine enteric coated tablets ? 500 mg and 600,000 matching placebo to be delivered over a two year period.
