Description
The McDonald Army Community Hospital, FT Eustis, VA is looking for a Medical/Nursing Assistant to work under a Personal Service Contract at the Troop Medical Clinic. Hours are 0730-1630, Monday through Friday. The performance period is 01 Oct 2005 th rough 30 Sep 2006 with four Option Years. Option Years are subject to availability of funds. Minimum Qualifications: have valid certification as a Medical/Nursing Assistant, Certifications, Education, Experience and Basic Life Support Certification and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Experience as a Medcial/Nursing Assistant take and record vita l signs and recognize and report abnormalities, obtain pertinent patient information and history of presenting complaint, serve as the physicians chaperone when required, Relay physician instructions to patients when appropriate, During examinations and t reatment of patients, position and drape patient, assist with minor medical treatment procedures, draw blood following on-the-job skills competency verification, initiate IVs, maintain IV sites, and adjust fluid flow rates and perform catheterization follo wing on-the-job skills competency verification, screen patients utilizing HSC 40-7-21  Algorithm Directed Troop Medical Care (ADTMC) and provide over-the-counter medications per ADTMC. Applicants will be evaluated by a technical committee and ranked numerically based on their technical qualifications according to the following criteria: Education and Experience. The Contracting Officer will then evaluate and negotiate price with the qualified applicants for contract award. Only individuals may apply, eg. no companies. Additional, all of ferors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which can be found at www.ccr.gov. Upon receipt of resume and licenses and/or certifications, applicants will be provided a Request for Quote (RFQ) by one of the following methods: mailed th ru postal service, applicant may pick-up from the above address or via e-mail. Your response to the RFQ package should be sent in sufficient time to assure arrival by the specified date listed in block 8 of the RFQ. The RFQ provides applicant the opportuni ty to review the Performance Work Statement, Job Description, Terms and Conditions of the Government and an opportunity to present his/her hourly rate for performance of work.
