Description

The Laboratory Instruments and Standards Team (LIST) Code 492110A of the Research and Engineering Sciences Department Metrology Division of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River Maryland has been designated by the NAVAIR Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program to be the depot repair facility for the entire population of Multifunction Calibrators (MFC) 5700AAN modules and Power Amplifiers (PA) 5725A modules in the METCAL Program inventory. LIST will ship modules directly to the repair facility. Modules returned are sometimes non-repairable because of physical damage to the 6 layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB). These non-repairable modules will be replaced with the purchase of a new module. Other modules sent will be repaired. Fluke Corporation owns several patents on both the components and processes within the MFC?s and the PA?s. Fluke Corporation has proprietary rights to the design of the 5700AAN and 5725A modules. This acquisition is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Government intends to negotiate Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price IDIQ (follow-on) contract with Fluke Corporation, 6920 Seaway Blvd, Everett, WA 98203-5829 to perform the module repair and when necessary supply the Government a new module to purchase. The total estimated dollar value of this procurement is to be $4,000,000.00 over a five (5) year period, which consists of one (1) base year and four (4) option years THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Interested parties should submit the following information describing their capabilities to Ms. Theresa Newton: a company pamphlet, brochure, or description of the company?s abilities/history with this type of service; a description of the equipment to be utilized including the methods of transporting modules; the name and telephone number of a company representative that can be contacted, and the company?s address. Once responses are received, interested parties may be requested to provide a presentation to further describe their capabilities.
