Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is seeking potential commercial sources for approximately 57 Standoff Disrupter Improvised Explosive Devices (SDIED). The SDIED disrupts and renders safe Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from a standoff position. The key capabilities include the following thresholds: 1) Remotely disrupt an Improvised Explosive Device at a minimum of 10 feet Standoff Range, load dependent; 2) Maximum Emplacement Time of 4 minutes; 3) Maximum Setup Time of 10 minutes; 4) Maximum Emplacement Portability of 50 lbs; 5) Maximum System Portability of 84 lbs; 6) Reliability Rate of 90 percent; 7) Availability Rate of 90 percent; 8) Maintainability of 2 hour Mean Corrective Maintenance Time for Operational Mission Failures (MCMTOMF); 9) Operate in temperatures from -25?F to 120?F; 10) Post-Shot Survivability with no damage to tool due to normal firing; 11) Internal shock tube actuated firing pin system cannot contain any external or internalhammer/firing spring or trigger mechanism (non-electric); 12) device shall also include multi-position aluminum stand, laser sight, any system specific tools, and inert consumables. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit the following: Statement of capabilities to accomplish the proposed effort; unit pricing, current GSA contract information (if available on GSA), past performance information, information on delivery/lead time, and warranty terms and conditions. Responses will be evaluated and a sources list established of those firms determined to be potentially capable of fulfilling the Government requirements. This sources sought/request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisition. No entitlement to pay of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the Government use of such information. Proprietary information submitted in response to this synopsis will be protected when clearl! y identified as proprietary.
