Description

The Government announces its requirement to procure for improvements to the approximately 348,000 sq ft parking facilities at the Federico Degetau Federal Office Building, 150 Carlos Chardon Street, Hato Rey, PR. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision. Work includes, but is not limited to, apply new asphalt pave with finishes, install new luminaries system, remove and reinstall chain link fences, construct sidewalks and guardhouse, remove the existing asphalt surface, install new storm sewer system, re-grade with borrow fill, and material disposal, markings and incidental work. Some of the above work is covered by options. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 and the size standard is $12 million. Performance and payment bonds will be required following award pursuant to the Miller Act. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The required construction completion date is 270 calendar days commencing one day after the notice to proceed. The solicitation number is GS-02P-05-PIC-3005. The anticipated solicitation release date is July 13, 2005. This solicitation incorporates documents, which are not available electronically on the Government wide Point of Entry (GPE). The solicitation, amendments to the solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available through a secured Internet site. Interested parties shall send all requests to access the secured Internet site and requests for the solicitation to the attention of Zenaida Delgado at the e-mail or mailing addresses shown in this pre-solicitation notice. Contractors are requested to provide a street address, telephone number, business license or other documentation granted by the state or local jurisdiction to conduct business, valid DUNS number, valid IRS Tax ID Number and e-mail address. Contractors will also be required to sign a Document Security Notice. Once the request for the solicitation has been accepted, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided. The e-mail will provide instructions for entry into the secured Internet site and access to the solicitation. Contractors should request e-mail notification from FedBizOpps in order to remain apprised of solicitation. Telephone or facsimile requests will not be accepted for this solicitation.
