Description

The U.S. Coast Guard intends to contract for the collection, pickup, transportation, treatment and disposal of Wet Foreign Garbage from Coast Guard Island, Alameda, CA. Four covered containers are to be provided at the site for collection. Disposal must be in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations. The intended contract periods of performance are for one base year and four one-year options. The base year is expected to start 1 October 2005. The solicitation will be issued on or around July 22, 2005. All interested and capable firms are encouraged to download a copy of the solicitation and supporting documents from FedBizOps? electronic Posting system at www.eps.gov click on ?Vendor?, then ?DHS?, then ?United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp-2) USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Alameda, CA?. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. All eligible firms may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Telephone, written, or E-mail requests for a hard copy of the solicitation will not be accepted, the solicitation must be down-loaded from the EPS (FedBizOpps) web site. This procurement is set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS codes are 562212, the applicable SIC code?s are 4953. The Small Business size standard is $10,500,000.00. This procurement is being awarded under the authority of FAR Subpart 12 ?Acquisitions of Commercial Items?.
