- This project is for the construction of a public water supply well. The well is an existing well that was previously drilled to a depth of 420 feet. The top 105 feet was drilled as a 12? hole and an 8-inch steel casing was set and grouted. The remainder of the well was drilled open hole to a depth of 420 feet. The previous well driller began to develop the well by surging with air pressure, but encountered equipment and personnel problems and abandoned the site before he was completed. The well was still producing muddy water, the last time he was on the site. The well was never fully developed, nor pump tested. Work under this contract will include, well development, pump testing, furnishing and installing PVC casing, supplying and installing a submersible pump, and electrical and water pipe from the well to 10? from the casing. In the event that well development does not produce sufficient potable water, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to abandon the well or perform further work. More work would include drilling, casing, and grouting, along with the above mentioned items. This is 100 percent set-aside for Emerging Small Business. Show-me Trip is scheduled for July 26, 2005 meet at 12 noon at the Panguitch office.
