Description
Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of Washington, Dr. Nathan Mantua to provide expertise in identifying and quantifying relationships between large scale climate variations, local environmental changes, and variations in harmful algal bloom (HAB) activity. Dr.Mantua is part of the Climate Impacts Group (CIG) that was created as an interdisciplinary program aimed at conducting policy relevent to natural and social science research for the Pacific Northwest. This project is the first of NOAA's Regional Integrated Scientific Assessment (RISA) Program's for evaluating the impacts of climate variability and climate change on specific regions on the United States. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition and is estimated not to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
