VETERAN AND DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE -July 22, 2005. Sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System of Ohio in partnership with the VA Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and the Center for Veterans Enterprise. The VA Healthcare System of Ohio is holding a Free Small Business conference to promote government procurement opportunities for Veterans and Service Disabled Veterans. Veterans and Service Disabled Veteran Entrepreneurs are invited to attend a Small Business Veteran?s Conference, presented by the Department of Veterans Affairs procurement officials, local veterans advocates, and the Center for Veterans Enterprise. The conference will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005 at the Dayton VA Medical Center, 4100 W. 3rd St. Location B-305 Multipurpose Room and auditorium from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Reservations for this event can be made e-mailing Jodi Cokl, VISN 10 Network Contract Manager at jodi.cokl2@med.va.gov and obtaining a registration form. This free conference is designed to put procurement officials, prime contractors, and end users face-to-face with veteran owned businesses that can provide the following: furniture, construction, asbestos and lead abatement, IT cable pulling, uniforms/scrubs, transportation, hazardous waste removal, recycling, medical staffing, office supplies, and other products and services. Your booth will consist of a six-foot table and two chairs. Electrical outlets are limited and offered on first come-first serve basis. A free box lunch will be provided to those who are registered for a booth. Registration is mandatory in order to obtain a booth. Refreshments will be provided to all throughout the day. This procurement conference is extremely important to our veterans who have made some of the largest sacrifices in defense of our nation. It will also give them the opportunity as entrepreneurs to sell their products and services procured and used by the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies. We want to encourage as many businesses to participate as possible for 2005. For further details about this conference, and registration information please contact Jodi Cokl at jodi.cokl2@med.va.gov or Betty Hill at betty.hill4@med.va.gov no later than June 30, 2005.
