Description

Construction provides for the conversion of approximately 2,000 gsf of space previously used as a file room to new space for relocation of the central computer/telephone equipment room. Also included are minor revisions and painting of an existing 2,000 gsf for administrative space. Demolition includes removal of acoustical ceilings, light fixtures, sprayed on thermal insulation, plumbing, conduit, ductwork, etc. General construction includes installation of new walls, doors, lighting, and painting. The project will prepare the site for the relocation of existing, and installation of new, telephone and computer equipment. Also included will be the installation of government furnished air conditioning equipment and UPS units for continuous electrical service to the computer and telephone equipment. A new backbone cable system will also be a major part of the project, and will include interior conduit/cable tray pathways and exterior underground conduit pathways for fiber optic cable systems for telephone, data, fire alarm, security, paging system, HVAC DDC equipment, etc. The work will include the removal of existing wiring, and the installation of the fiber optic cable, including the related terminations, testing and certification. NAICS 236220. Construction cost range between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Requests for documents must be in writing.
