Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15, intends to negotiate a commercial sole source contract with the Salem Memorial District Hospital conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1. This procurement is to obtain medical laboratory services for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located at the Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, MO. The procurement will specifically provide for laboratory services to include collection, preanalytic processing, analysis, reporting of analytic results, and consultations regarding selection, collection, and result interpretation. Collection of the laboratory specimen will be required to be performed at the CBOC location. Period of performance will be a base period of one (1) year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all inquiries received within five (5) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All inquiries shall be in writing and addressed to Loyd D.
