- You are invited to submit a budgetary quotation to furnish training as outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement. This request is for informational planning purposes only and is important for establishment of a realistic cost estimate. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation, or otherwise pay for the information solicited except as provided in subsection 31.205-18, bid and proposal (b&p) costs, of the federal acquisition regulation. Identify any factors that would affect the prices quoted, and specify equipment and technical data that would be needed to support training (inclusive of stock number, part number, noun description, T.O. numbers, description of manuals and software). Also, specify whether said items would be Contractor or Government furnished. For performance in overseas areas, please identify logistical and administrative support required for your instructors. Your quotation should arrive at the above address and have a validity period of at least 180 days. This is the minimum time required for processing by HQ USAF and review by the customer country. PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT 1. Scope a. Training is required by the USAF in support of an Egyptian Air Force (EAF) foreign military sales program, Peace Vector VI. Proposed training will be Type 1 contractor training, procured by Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and presented under the auspices of Air Force Security Assistance Training Program. All instruction is to be in the English language and is desired in country (Egypt). b. Training shall include Intermediate level operation, maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair, and safety precautions of the following vehicles, to include concentrated instruction on use of scan tools. Options: power steering, air conditioning. 2. Technical Training a. The training objective is to provide up to five EAF trainees (with hands-on advanced, comprehensive Intermediate (I) Level, maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair, and concentrated use of scan tools and safety precaution training for the ambulance, crash recovery pick-up and pilot transfer minibus. The technicians shall be provided the knowledge and skill necessary to succeed as operators and maintainers of these vehicles. The student will have a background in vehicle maintenance. b. The contractor shall propose course content and duration of training, for each vehicle. The contractor shall provide course outlines detailing major topics/assemblies and the hours required to train the EAF technician. Training shall include combinations of formal classroom instruction and ?hands-on? practical exercises so as to provide skill proficiency to perform tasks ?unsupervised.? Primary emphasis shall be ?hands-on? practical experience. Training is desired in FY06, the contractor shall specify the exact dates the training will be available. 3. Training Materials Training materials can be in contractor format. The student will retain all training materials used by the student during course presentation.
