Description: Install Boilers at Bldg. 258, Floyd Bennett Field and Bldg. 219, Riis Landing Gateway National Recreation Area, Brooklyn and Queens, New York. Solicitation Number N1774050613. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract for the following: BID ITEM NO. 1: Furnish & Install Boiler at Bldg. 258, Floyd Bennett Field - This bid item consists of furnishing & installing gas-fired boiler, heating capacity: 850,000 btu, replace condensation pump, controls & connect to existing steam distribution system; furnishing and installing gas meter and regulator, gas train, gas service lines to the boiler and hot water heater unit in boiler room; repair of replace three modine steam blowers in Auto Shop and repair or replace convectors in the building. Replace defective valves and piping. The heating system to be a working system at the end this contract; includes new electrical panel for the boiler in Auto Shop and two 4 foot explosive proof fluorescent fixtures for boiler room lighting; removal of abandoned & dead piping, control, electrical conduits and equipment. BID ITEM NO. 2: Furnish & Install Boiler at Bldg. 219, Riis Landing - This bid item consists of furnishing & installing gas-fired boiler, heating capacity: 1,000 Mbh, controls & connect to existing steam distribution system; furnishing and installing gas meter and regulator, gas train, gas service lines to the boiler, hot water heater unit in boiler room and to lunch room; repair of replace all convectors in the building. Replace defective valves and piping. The heating system to be a working system at the end this contract; new electrical panel for the boiler in boiler room and four 4 foot explosive proof fluorescent fixtures for boiler room lighting; removal of abandoned & dead piping, control, electrical conduit and equipment. LOCATION: Bldg. 258, Floyd Bennett Field and Bldg. 219, Riis Landing, Gateway National Recreation Area, Brooklyn and Queens, New York. The NAICS code for this project is 238220 and the small business size standard is $12.0 million. Contract duration is 60 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L, clause 52.236-27 Alt 1, Site Visit (Construction).
