Description

The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract, for a base year and four option years, to Palomar Products, Incorporated, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA for the VH-60/VH-3D Intercommunications System (ICS) Cockpit Upgrade Program (CUP) Modification. It is estimated the Navy will procure forty-two (42) of the AIC-29 ICS units. Palomar is the only company possessing the engineering expertise, technical and proprietary data, in-place equipment and experienced personnel necessary to perform the efforts associated with this procurement and is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the ICS CUP. Therefore, Palomar is considered to be the lone qualified source capable of responding to the Navy?s unique, technical requirements.
