Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other then full and open competition basis from Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Co, Inc, 1065 Easton Rd., Horsham PA 19044-4330 the following equipment - 1 ea LoCap 30,000 lb capacity 30" Horizontal clearance with Explosion proof load frame, part number 13002012; 1 st LoCap screw covers 30,000 lb capacity part number LOCP70002; 1 ea software copy part number 21001039; 3 lt installation and service for new machine part number SRVTON; 1 lt Terms and warranty part number TERMSUS. Additional specifications - Titius Olsen LoCap Series Universal testing machine equipped with a 30,000 lb (15,000 kgf., 150,000 N) capacity strain gage load cell. A trilingual backlit LCD display will read force in either 1bf, N or kgf and position in either inches or mm. Speed will be displayed in inches or mm per minute. The Handheld terminal will be mounted on the console or can be handheld within a 6 foot ra! dius of the console. A keypad provides functionality for setting a closed-loop speed, crosshead up/down return, max values and stop. A precision optical encoder is included and reads in either inches or millimeters. Max resolution is 0.00001 in. or 0.001 mm. The machine can be operated in the manual mode or closed-loop mode for speed via the handheld terminal which can be configured via a menu-driven user interface. Other features included are: A high speed serial port for data transmission or connection to a computer. A variable sample break function to display peak values automatically, and return the crosshead when activated. The system is modular, it accepts additional load cells and other transducers, which are atomically identified by the system. Accuracy: within +-0.5% of the indicated load form 0.2% to 100% capacity. Loading and Control System: Two rotating screw type load frame construction with screws supported both top and bottom for rigidity, operated bya four-quadrant pulse-width-modulated drive in conjunction with the handheld terminal and/or software. Standard tools included: Strain Gauge Load Cell complete with 3" diameter solid plate for compression testing. Lower Compression Plate, 8" in diameter. Upper and lower stud for attaching test tools. Standard speed ranges: 0.002 to 2" (0.5 to 50 mm) per minute to capacity. 2 to 20" (50 to 500 mm) per minute for rapid crosshead adjustment or testing to approx. 3,000 lbf.
