Description
The synopsis appearing on or about 17 June 2005 is hereby modified to ADD the following: This requirement is full and open competition. The NAIC code is changed to ?493190? ?OTHER WAREHOUSING AND STORAGE?. Additionally, the services to be provided is for Navy DEPMEDS that are either designed and packed to be deployed in configurations or platforms, which meet the individual requirements of each mission, or designed, packed, and pre-positioned for deployment as a specific configuration in anticipation of future missions. In each case, items comprising DEPMEDS are categorized and packed into groups or assemblages designed to provide a specific functional capability (i.e. pharmacy, laboratory, surgery, radiology, intensive care wards, dental, power generation, power distribution, potable water, wastewater collection and storage, laundry, staff housing, galley, public works, etc.). These functional area assemblages are called authorized medical allowance lists (AMAL) or authorized dental allowance lists (ADAL) and are the building blocks used by FHSO staff to create DEPMEDS configurations in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) computer network system. These configurations typically range from 10 to 500-bed systems but can be as small as an individual AMAL /ADAL assemblage or greater than, the 500-bed system, depending on the mission (up to 2500 different configuration). The basic concept is worldwide ?just-in-time? delivery for any potential need or mission. The solicitation will be issued on or before 11 Jul 2005. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++END OF NEW TEXT The Government intends to negotiate an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery, Labor Hours type contract with firm fixed prices for all personnel, management, and other items as otherwise authorized to provided services to receive, unpack, down load, warehouse, retrieve, identify, inspect, clean, group and repack, containerize and/or palletize, dispose of, and coordinate deployment of new or returning (used and unused) equipment, vehicles, shelters, containers, materials and consumable supplies, which form or support deployable medical systems (DEPMEDS), traditionally referred to or known as Fleet Hospitals (FH), Expeditionary Medical Facilities (EMF), Expeditionary Medical Units (EMU) and Forward Deployed Preventive Medicine Units (FDPMU) in support of the Fleet Hospital Support Office (FHSO), Williamsburg, Virginia. The period of performance is for one base year with four (4), twelve-month option periods. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 493110.
