Description
GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION CENTRAL HEATING AND REFRIGERATION PLANT 13TH & C STREETS S.W. WASHINGTON, DC 20407 Rooftop Drain Repair: A. Scope of Work 1. The contractor shall furnish all of the necessary equipment, labor, supplies, and supervision to replace two rooftop drains located at the Central Heating & Refrigeration Plant located at 13th & C Streets SW Washington, DC. 2. The contractor shall replace the roof drain and piping down through the fifth floor ceiling where the cleanout plugs are exposed. The replacement pipe should be approximately 12 feet of 6 inch pipe for each individual drain. 3. The cleanout plugs are exposed where there is no floor area beneath them. The contractor must construct a scaffold to have a base to work from in order to get to the existing pipe to be replaced. 4. There are unusual aspects and nature of the job that all prospective contractors must be aware of, therefore, a pre-proposal conference including a walk through of the job site has been scheduled for all prospective contractors are required to attend a prebid proposal at 10:00 am on June 28, 2005 No other walk throughs will be scheduled after this time, so prompt timing is required. The contractor shall comply with all GSA Plant and OSHA safety and security regulations and shall ensure that his employees are properly supplied with the appropriate identification and safety equipment in accordance with the requirements stipulated at the Central Heating and Plant. The contractor shall inform the Contracting Officer of work he intends to perform that could affect the safety of personnel or interfere with plant operations.
