Description
The Technology Applications Program Office seeks sources that are able to perform the field service engineering services shown below. Responses must provide a current capability statement that clearly shows your company?s expertise, capabilities, and experience in the weapons systems field service engineering services area. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Responding or participating to this synopsis may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with responding to this synopsis. Responses must be emailed to Fred Bischoff at manfred.bischoff@us.army.mil no later than 11 July 2005. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541330, with a small business size standard of $4.0 million dollars. Small, small-disdvantaged, woman-owned, and veteran-owned businesses are encouraged to respond. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide field service engineering to support the Weapons Plank, Ammunition Systems, and Weapon Systems installed on the US Special Operations Command MH-60K/L,MH-47D/E/G and AH-6J/M aircraft. These systems include, but are not limited to, the following: M230/30mm, GAU-19 .50 cal, M134 7.62 Minigun, M2AC.50 cal, 2.75? rocket, and Weapons Plank. The contractor shall provide advisory services for updating the skills of maintenance personnel and troubleshooting various weapons systems on special mission aircraft. The contractor shall assist customer maintenance personnel in developing the engineering and technical skills necessary to perform the required AVUM/AVIM level maintenance actions and solve operational problems relating to the weapons systems. The contractor shall coordinate, develop, and conduct on the job training programs. The contractor shall review armament system drawings. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the MH-60K/L, MH-47, and AH-6J/M weapons plank, ammunition systems, and weapons systems. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing processes, repair procedures, and the components manufactured by the appropriate armaments contractors and their vendors. On-site services shall be performed at 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) (ABN), Fort Campbell, Kentucky and several other sites as required. Travel to other government sites and contractor facilities to perform services required herein may be necessary. Travel shall also include OCONUS sites as directed. All contractor personnel are required to possess a SECRET security clearance. Period of performance: Base year plus two option years. 12 to 24 man-months of support are required per year.
