Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a requirement of reforestation work to be accomplished on designated areas at Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge, Eufaula (Barbour County), Alabama. This requirement is 100% small business set aside under NAICS code 115310 with a business size of $6,000,000. The contract includes tree handling and planting, to provide high quality containerized longleaf pine seedlings with the greatest chance of survival. The primary planting periods will be December 1, 2005 - January 31, 2006. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, and containerized longleaf pine seedlings to perform work as specified in scope of work. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. The solicitation package, plans, and specifications will be made available on or after June 17, 2005, and will be posted to http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov (the Department of Interior site) under RFQ 401815Q123. When viewing solicitation document, see section titled "Clauses and Attachments" for Scope of Work and Planting Site map. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. NOTE: Prospective offeror's must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov in order to be eligible for award. CCR registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number, which can be obtained free of charge from Dun and Bradstreet at (800) 333-0505. Once you are registered you will be able to view quotes online at either http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. For questions at Interior's site, please call the help desk at (703) 390-6633. This will be your only means of obtaining the solicitation/award.
