- Description
- NRCS is seeking quotes for award of multiple fixed-price contracts to provide site preparation and tree planting services in various parishes in Louisiana (Catahoula, Tensas, Richland, Madison, W. Carroll, Grant, Evangeline, Rapides, Pointe Coupee, St. Landry, Natchitoches, Avoyelles, and Caddo parishes). Three contracts are planned to be awarded. One contract will be for site prepping 2,371 acres and planting 634,502 seedlings on 2,101 acres. The second contract includes site prep for 1,749 acres and planting 422,800 seedlings on 1,400 acres. The third contract will be for site preparation of 2,628 acres and planting 625,441 seedlings on 2,071 acres. All seedlings will be 1 year old, 18” – 24” in length and be the following trees: Nuttall Oak, Willow Oak, Overcup Oak, Bald Cypress, and Water Tupelo (other species may be substituted for the above). For all contracts, site preparation work shall be accomplished between August 1, 2005 and November 1, 2005. Seedlings shall be planted between December 15, 2005 and March 15, 2006. All work shall be completed by March 15, 2006. All responsible offers are invited to submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
