- Description
- The Department of Justice, Facilities and Administrative Services Staff, has a requirement for moving services and supplemental labor support services within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The work covers routine office moving services on an “on call” basis and requires laborers that are experienced in the handling of standard office machines, word-processing equipment and furniture. The required services include padding, packing and/or crating for transportation; disassembly of the property where necessary; pickup and loading of the property at its present location; transporting to destination; delivering property to the designated room and/or rooms and positioning at the new location; reassembling; removing all packing and crating materials; and/or any other duties normally included in a complete moving service. The contractor shall provide all of the trucks and moving material/equipment necessary to perform these services. Personnel must clear a background investigation consisting of a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) and fingerprints. A single contract will be awarded and will include a base period and options to extend the term of the contract up to a total of 60 months, The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 484210 with a size standard of $21.5M. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business concerns. Solicitation DJJD05RFP0339 will be issued on or about July 15, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration’s FedBizOpps web site www.FedBizOpps.gov (hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available). The FedBizOpps site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
