- Description
- The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service, has a requirement for services to take, disseminate and record radiosonde observations as required by the National Weather Service Office, Greensboro, North Carolina. Services include two daily soundings and six special soundings during the contract year. Services also include preventative maintenance of equipment and administrative duties. The anticipated period of performance is 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006, with two one-year option periods. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) is 541990; small business size standard is $6 million annually. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (Fed Biz Opps) site at www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile or written requests will be accepted. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. The solicitation will be issued as a commercial item acquisition on or about June 17, 2005 utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. Offerors must have valid DUNS Numbers and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Numbered Note 1 applies.
