Description

This project requires the contractor to cut down any wind damaged trees that are topped, broken, and potentially hazardous within 100 feet of the center line along 2.2 miles (or approximately 53 acres) of Beaver Creek Road near the town of Zortman Montana - T25N, R25E Sections 4, 5, and 9. All material 3 inches DBH and greater will be cut into lengths not to exceed 7.5 feet. The remaining slash less than 3 inches DBH will be hand piled outside the road's right-of-way. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals required to perform and complete these services. _____ The Request for Quote will be issued on or before Monday, June 18, 2005. A Site Tour is scheduled for Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. All interested parties are to meet at Buff's Picnic Area just outside of Zortman Montana. Four wheel drive vehicles are recommended since some driving on unimproved roads and trails will be required. The Request for Quote will then close at midnight on July 10, 2005 unless amended. Award will tentatively be made the following day. Work is to begin around July 18 and should be completed by August 19. A pre-work conference will occur in conjunction with the first day worked. _____ Only one line item will be listed on the Request for Quote - 0001 = Provide slash treatment within 100 feet of the identified section of the Beaver Creek Road. This project is estimated to be under $25,000. _____ This project is a small business set-aside as well as a Hubzone set-aside. Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) is required. Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) is also now required.
