- Description
- The National Park Service will be soliciting offers for clearing scenic vistas along the 470 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and North Carolina. The objective of this project is to provide clear and unobstructed views of the many scenic mountain ranges from the roadside and parking overlooks along the Parkway. This project is a possible multiple years contract (3 years) which includes Base Year One with Option Years Two and Three. The work for Base Year One includes cutting trees, shrubs, brush, briars, and vines in 296 vistas; and applying herbicide to 153 of the vistas. The work will be performed in Virginia and North Carolina from Milepost 202.9 to Milepost 388.8. The Solicitation Number for this project is N5140050085 and the Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on or about July 6, 2005. The acquisition is unrestricted and proposals will be accepted from all responsive sources. The NAICS Code is 561730 and the small business size standard is $6 million. This project is subject to the Service Contract Act and any applicable wage determinations. Interested contractors can obtain an electronic copy of the RFP at http://ideasec.nbc.gov.
