- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Pines Manufacturing, Inc. of Westlake, OH to establish tube bending machine settings for the Pines model CNC-040, P/N 13800, S/N 13800-04045 located at MALS 29, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, NC. The tube bender is used to bend titanium and corrosion resistant (CRES) steel tubes ranging from size 03 CRES steel to size 16 titanium in support of the V-22 Aircraft. The contractor shall also aid MALS 29 in qualification testing. The Navy intends to procure this effort under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is not available for this procurement. This effort will commence within approximately 30 days after the date of the subsequent contract.
