Description

Contractor shall provide a working, technical knowledge for identifying plants in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States and assistance for plant data review and certification according to the National Park Service Quality Assurance Workbook NPSpecies Version 2 Database (August 2003). Contractor must have a working knowledge of the NPSpecies database. The plants are located in Parks located within the National Capital Region which includes: District of Columbia, Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. There is no travel costs associated with this procurement. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is under $50,000. This procurement is a commercial item. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541990 with a small business size of $6 million of annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. This procurement is 100-percent set-aside for small business concerns. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $6 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about June 17, 2005. Search for RFQ under the solicitation number listed under the National Park Service solicitations. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitation and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. To download the solicitation all interested quoters must have a DUNS number. To receive a DUNS number please contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505. However, all responses will be delivered by the U.S. mail or handcarried by 4 PM, EST, Local Prevailing Time, July 6, 2005. All technical questions must be emailed to Linda_K_Hook@nps.gov. Technical questions will be accepted until 4 P.M., EST, on June 29, 2005. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Government.
