Description
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment and all other services necessary to clear and open the Old Trace Trail, located approximately at milepost 17.1 in the Natchez district of the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. The historic Old Trace trail on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Jefferson County, Mississippi, has been damaged by natural tree fall that has occurred over a period of several years. The trail is currently closed. The Natchez Trace Parkway now desires to reopen the trail by removing the fallen trees and debris along the length of the trail. The trail consists of a soil surface approximately twenty feet wide and approximately 3.1 miles in length. There are many trees fallen on the trail. More than 30 of these have diameters 8" or greater, and several have diameters greater than 24". Work shall be concluded within 45 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $25,000 to $50,000. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 113310 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Request for Quotation, including attachments, will be available for download electronically at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 6, 2005. Electronic files will be published in HTML, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF formats.
