Description

Status Update for Solicitation W52H09-04-R-0378; Decontamination Resin. The initial Presolicitation Notice posted in FBO on 2004AUG31. This notice updates and provides the best and most recent information available to prospective contractors. The above dates for issuance and response are estimated. This information is subject to change and is not binding upon the Government. The Government requires a source capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, supplies, testing, packing, and shippin g to manufacture and provide Decontamination Resin XE555 for use in the production of M291 Skin Decontamination Kits. Projected requirements are for a total of 300,000 pounds of decontaminating resin to be provided for the performance period of approximate ly five years. The resin is a blend/mix of chemical components. The procedure for blending shall be accomplished in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration. As part of this solicitation, Amb ersorb 348, a component material, will be provided as overnment Furnished Material. FOB is Destination to Pine Bluff Arsenal, AR. This decontamination resin is a component of the Decontamination Kit, Individual Equipment, M291. The XE555s NSN is 6850-01- 448-4895. For purposes of this notice, interested firms may anticipate a performance period of approximately five years under a long term, firm fixed-priced, requirements type contract. Technical questions or clarifications shall be submitted in writing to the below Contract Specialist not less than 20 calendar days prior to bid opening/receipt of proposals. Estimated Issuance Date is not earlier than 2005JUN22. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via th e internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code, Company Name , Point of Contact, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. CAUTION: This solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be issued electron ically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102. Hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors may download an electronic copy on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. The Government is under no obligation and no longer maintains a bidders mailing list. It is incumbent upon an interested party to periodically access the above Internet address to obtain any issued amendments. Failure to obtain any amendments and respond accor dingly by the date and time set as the bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your firms bid or proposal nonresponsive and not considered for any resulting award.
