- The item to procure is a M249 sear(NSN: 1005 01 128 5710) (Part Number 9348368) End item is M249 sear. Material steel compsn 9310H Modified (C 0.12-0.18%, Ni 4.0-4.5%, Mo 0.20-0.40%), Spheroidized, ASTM A 304. Heat treat in accordance with SAE AMS-H -6875 Carburize to a case depth of 0.25-0.35MM. Furnace cool, Harden, salt or oil quench and temper. The sear is small in nature with two distinct areas, area 'W' at 50.0 mm and area 'V' aprox 12.9 mm Ends 2.50 mm and 12.37mm. Sear contains geometrical to lerances extremely tight along with obleak angles. Heavy phosphate coating procedure is required. First Article Test (FAT) testing is required 150 days after receipt of award. Solicitation is a 100% HUBZone set a side and bidders must be certified as HU BZone at time of Solicitation closing. This Solicitation will result in the award of a long term, firm fixed price, 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. Guaranteed minimum quantity is 5,000 each. Estimated issue date is o n or about 6 July 2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the fol lowing address via the internet:http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to mai ntain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prio r to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vend ors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Nam e, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
