- The following is answers to questions that have been received. 1. The integrated testing is very simple. All of the IEEE-488 GPIB equipped items are connected together and then to one of the interface cards of the PATEC computer. Then the NI Measurement and Automation software is used to scan for instruments on the busIt prevents bad GPIB interfaces on the instruments from being delivered. 2. If a substitute for the operating and transit cases are proposed, submit OEM data on the new cases for evaluation. Additionally, unless you can produce from the potential case vendor documentation on the testing described in the PD, offers will have to have the testing done. 3. If an alternate computer is proposed, it must meet the technical requirements. The KEY requirements are A laptop Windows 2000 or XP Two USB ports A CD drive A floppy drive The above does not change any part of the PD, but shows where our main concerns are, you must still make sure it meets the PD requirements. Minor variations in size are of no concern, but it is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure it fits in the case for the computer. 4. Authorization to purchase through GSA schedules may be given.
