- Notice of Intent: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Geokon, Inc, 48 Spencer St., Lebanon, NH 03766-6136 to acquire Geokon vibrating-wire piezometers to be used to measure water pressures within dams and foundations. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Subpart 13 and Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Subpart 12. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government believes that there is only one responsible source and no other supply will satisfy the agency's requirement. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Any firm that believes it can furnish the items described above is encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All responses received within 5 days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail: lhayes@do.usbr.gov. Responses should include the firm's business size [e.g. small business, other than small business] in accordance with the size standard: 500 Employees for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334519.
