- Description
- THEFT DETECTION SECURITY STRIPS. The Library of Congress will contract for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with a firm to provide theft detection security strips for installation by the Library into the Library’s general book collections. The minimum amount to be ordered is $5,000. The contract will include option years, up to a total of five years, for successful delivery of security strips. The estimated amount to be delivered annually is 270,000 security strips. Security strips must be equivalent or superior in performance to the original ElectroThred security strips supplied for use with the Knogo Chameleon Theft Detection system when it was installed. The Offeror must provide security strips to protect books of various heights, widths and thickness. The types of security strips that the Library may procure are as follows: Book Spine Insertion (single-sided adhesive) – Permanently active Insertion between pages (double-sided adhesive – Permanently active.
