Description
The purpose of this Amendment is to answer questions in response to the Combined Synopsis Solicitation (CSS). The following answers are to questions that were submitted prior to the deadline of 16 June 2005, Noon Mountain Standard Time (MST). The dea dline for questions has expired. The closing date and time for this CSS remains unchanged: 22 June 2005, Noon MST. 1. Question: Are each of the UPSs to be installed on the ground floor of the buildings? 1. Answer: Yes. 2. Question: Are there steps, ramps o r other objects to be traversed for delivery? 2. Answer: a. 65Kva system: 1 step (6 inches) and 1 step (13.5 inches) b. 30Kva system: 1 step (6 inches). 3. Question: What is the distance from the customer selected UPS floor location to the customer supplie d power panel that would provide 208V Input power to the 65kVA UPS? 3. Answer: No more than 10 feet. 4. Question: What is the distance from the customer selected UPS floor location to the customer supplied 208V/120V output distribution panel? 4. Answer: No more than 10 feet. 5. Question: Same questions as 3 and 4 above for the 30kVA UPS? 5. Answer: No more than 10 feet. 6. Question: Is there a Generator and Automatic Transfer Switch providing power to the input of the UPS Systems? 6. Answer: Yes. Separate g enerator and transfer switch for each system. 7. Question: Are the UPS systems for general power/computer backup, or lighting? 7. Answer: a. 65Kva system is general power including lighting. b. 30Kva system is for computer backup. 8. Question: Can you supp ly a drawing or give specifications on the room layout where the equipment will be placed? 8. Answer: No drawing available. a. 65Kva system will be located in a metal shelter approximately 21.5 feet L x 11 feet W x 8 feet H. b. 30Kva system will be located in a modular concrete shelter approximately 24 feet L x 16 feet W x 8 feet H. 9. Question: Is the solicitation asking the bidder to supply the installation, or just purchase? 9. Answer: Per the CSS our requirement is for procurement and installation. 10. Question: Is there any technical information, such as drawings or schematics, which show th e floor plan and electrical distribution system for the building where the two Liebert UPS systems are to be installed (Bldg. 2105 North End)? 10. Answer: None available. 11. Question: Is a new building going to be built via a construction project or is it a manufactured building or structure? 11. Answer: See Question Number 8 above. 12. Question: Each system configuration consists of a UPS module and a battery system. The battery warranty was defined in the bid document (1 years full, 9 years pro rata), w hich happens to be the standard warranty offering for the Liebert Npower battery systems. The standard warranty for Npower UPS modules is one year, covering all parts, labor, travel & freight expenses, and 24 hour emergency calls. Is this the warranty re quired for the UPS modules? 12. Answer: The standard warranty for the Npower UPS Modules is adequate for the UPS Modules. 13. Question: Are the UPS systems to be installed during standard weekday business hours or during off-hours or weekends? Are there d efined windows of time where we cannot work at the jobsite? 13. Answer: The YPG workweek is Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. (Closed Federal Holidays). This installation should take place during the normal YPG workweek. We do not anticipate any times during the normal workweek when you will not be able to work at the jobsite. 14. Question: Are there any addenda or amendments that have been released on this RFP? 14. Answer: This is the first amendment for the CSS. 15. Question: CLIN 0003 describes a 30 kVA UPS system with a 480 minute rack mounted battery system. Can you describe the Seismic Zone rating required for this Yuma project? 15. Answer: Seismic Zone 4. 16. Question: When is the equipment described in CLIN 0001 and 0003 expected to be received and installed in Yuma? 16. Answer: Not to exceed 120 days after con tract award. 17. Question: Can you provide me with the length of run or distance from the existing main input and output feeder panels to the location were the new UPS's will be placed? 17. Answer: See questions 3, 4, and 5 above. 18. Question: Are there s tandard dock facilities or will inside delivery with a truck requiring a lift gate be needed? 18. Answer: The YPG transportation office has a standard loading dock, however, transportation of the systems from the transportation office to the installed loca tion is the responsibility of the contractor. Recommend inside delivery with a lift gate truck. 19. Question: If inside delivery is required, please describe any obstacles and provide the distance from were each UPS system will be off-loaded to the room we re they will be installed? 19. Answer: Both facilities have outside access. See Question Number 2 above.
