Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to Replace Timber Catwalk/Platform at Brandywine Shoal Lighthouse U. S. Coast Guard ANT Cape May New Jersey. Major work items include: Remove approximately 135 LF of timber catwalk consisting of 10 inch diameter piles, (approx. 45 feet long, spaced 12 inches o.c.), continuous 12X12 waler, continuous 6X12 waler, 4X12 support beams and 3-foot wide graphite grating and dispose of accordingly; Remove 50 LF of breakwater consisting of 10 inch diameter piles, (approx. 45 feet long, spaced 12 inch o.c.), continuous 12X12 waler and dispose of accordingly; Remove approximately 370 SF of existing graphite grating and dispose of accordingly; Remove (6) 12? diameter piles, approx. 45 feet long and all 3X8 timber bracing associated with walkway supports and dispose of accordingly; Install new 8 ft ? 0 in. diameter precast concrete manhole rings around existing 6 ft ? 0 inch manhole rings at locations shown on drawings. Base bid on providing minimum of (3) rings at each walkway support location; install approximately 500 SF new 3X6 decking along existing timber walkway and existing timber platform as shown on drawings; Construct new 10 foot ? 0 inch by 20 foot 0 inch timber platform and a 5 foot ? 4 inch by 10 foot ? 0 inch walkway as shown on drawings; Construct a new 5 foot ? 8 inch by 48 foot ? 0 inch long timber catwalk as shown on drawings. Construct (4) new treated timber backer board assemblies as shown on drawings consisting of 8X12 walers and 6X10 backer boards and associated stainless steel hardware; Install (1) new structural steel ladder on new timber catwalk as detailed on drawing. Possible Unit Work Items include: Install (1) additional 8 foot-0 inch diameter precast concrete manhole ring to reach required elevation at walkway support location; Install (1) additional structural steel ladder on new timber catwalk as detailed on drawing; Install additional 16 LF of timber catwalk in its entirety. New catwalk shall consist of all components necessary to match above described catwalk, but is not limited to (6) 12 inch diameter treated timber piles, (2) 12 inch diameter batter piles, (6) 3X10 pile bents, (6) 3X8 bracing, (12) 3X10 stringers and all associated 1 inch diameter stainless steel hardware. No backer board/waler assembly will be required for unit work items; Install new 7-pile mooring cluster at location shown on drawings. This procurement is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable NAICS is 237990 with a size standard of $28.5M. Completion time is 90 DANTP. This project is set aside for small businesses. The response date is an estimated date only.
