Description
MODIFICATION 01 IS HEREBY ISSUED TO EXTEND CLOSING DATE OF SOLICITATION TO CLOSE OF BUSINESS JULY 11, 2005. A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION PROVIDING DETAILED STATEMENT OF WORK WILL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT JULY 5, 2005. FOR COPY OF RFQ, PLEASE SEND WRITTEN REQUEST BY FAX TO MARIA MENDOZA AT (206) 526-6025.This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service, Northwest Marine Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC) located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for repair work on NOAA ship Harold W. Streeter. The contractor SHALL:1. haul-out boat 2. water wash bottom 3.paint bottom 4. weight testing booms 5. install two remote fuel shut offs 6. remove of existing bottom paint to bare wood 6. fabricate and install 1,200 lb ballast shoe 7. replace 4 8v batteries 8. replace of a few topside planks. NOAA believes this to be sole source with Fishing Vessel Owners Marine Ways Inc., contractor is the only local ship repairer for wooden hulled ships that can ensure a high standard quality workmanship and can meet the operational needs to meet annual field commitment. A firm-fixed price order will be issued with performance period from Aug 1, 2005 thru Sept 30, 2005. This notice may represent the only office notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100, 000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov.
