Re-establishing foundation grade and plumbness and reducing foundation settlements for historical stone masonry guardwalls using ground injection methods and/or combined with mechanical pinning or jacking without unduly damaging the integrity of the guardwalls. The submitted method should have the potential to establish the basis for developing plans and specifications for use in future highway construction contracts. The proposed methods(s) must take into consideration narrow (10-11 ft.) travel lanes located in remote mountainous highway corridors with limited sight distances. The proposed method(s) should minimize traffic congestion during peak periods (daylight) and must allow for working at night and / or temporary (not to exceed 30 minutes) closure of one-lane, while maintaining acceptable production rates. The proposed methods must be able to control subgrade upward vertical displacements to raise the pavement structure and masonry walls to the desired grade elevations. INFORMATION NEEDED: Interested parties that believe they can meet the above requirements shall provide: (1) Company information including company name, point of contact, company address, telephone number (voice and fax), & e-mail; (2) A list of no more than 5 projects, which your firm has completed in remote locations with high ADT and traffic congestion considerations previously mentioned.
